The Watchful Weave- Evil Eye Talisman

Greetings!
Last week I shared something that was a goal of mine to accomplish. This week I am sharing a new to me project that I fell in love with. Over the winter I had made some snowman kits and had left over metal rings. I decided to research mandalas and wall hangings and found some beautiful ones (they are on my "to make" list) and decided to start with this Evil Eye Talisman. I've always been drawn to them so naturally I loved taking the time to make one.
So here's a bit about them and how they can help resonate calm whether you wear them or hang them in your most favorite places.

Evil Eye Talisman

Some symbols travel through centuries, gathering stories the way yarn gathers softness. The Evil Eye is one of them — a quiet guardian meant to notice what we can’t. In many old traditions, a watchful blue eye was believed to turn aside envy, mischief, and the little streaks of bad luck that try to follow us around.

In the Enchanted Stitch world, I like to imagine this charm as a friendly sentinel rather than a fierce protector. Its blue ring mirrors open sky, its green center hints at new growth, and together they create a calm, steady presence. Not dramatic, not demanding — just quietly aware. A companion that keeps an eye on the path ahead so you can walk it with a lighter heart.

There’s something especially comforting about crafting this symbol in yarn. Every loop adds intention, every stitch softens the edges, and the finished talisman feels less like an object and more like a small guardian made by hand. A reminder that protection doesn’t always have to be sharp or heavy; sometimes it can be gentle, colorful, and stitched with care.

If you are wanting to add this gentle guardian to your home or send it on to someone who could use a little added protection, order HERE.

Until next week....
