A Little Dragon with a Big Message

 Greetings again,

This week I'd like to introduce my Lacewing Dragons. A little back story of how the pattern came about.... One of my absolute favorite designers, Megan Lapp, Crafty Intentions, is the designer behind this beautiful guy. She saw an AI version and knew it was "slop" and basically didn't want her fans and all others out there to have to struggle and fight with a pattern that was garbage. She has some videos stating it in her words, so look her up and give her a like. Anyway, she spent some time creating a well written pattern that works up so well.

Now onto my version of the Lacewing's Story......

Blue Lacewing Dragon


Some creatures arrive in your life to make noise. This one arrived to make space.

Lacewing Dragons are tiny by design — not because they lack power, but because they understand something most of us forget: small things can shift everything. A single moment of calm. A single breath. A single spark of an idea that changes the whole direction of your day.

This little dragon showed up on a patch of moss like it had been waiting for you to notice the quiet magic you walk past every day. Lacewings don’t roar or demand attention. They simply exist with intention — a reminder that creativity doesn’t always begin with a lightning bolt. Sometimes it begins with a pause.

People say Lacewing Dragons are drawn to makers who carry too much in their heads and hearts. The ones who dream big but forget to give themselves credit for the small steps. The ones who create beauty for others but rarely stop to see the magic in their own hands.

This dragon’s gift isn’t fire or flight. It’s perspective.

It settles in the corner of your workspace like a tiny anchor, whispering in its own quiet way:

“Slow down. You’re building something meaningful.” “You don’t have to rush the magic.” “Every stitch, every idea, every attempt counts.”

When you’re overwhelmed, it curls a little tighter, reminding you that rest is part of the process. When inspiration stirs, its wings give the faintest tremble, as if cheering you on. When doubt creeps in, it simply stays — steady, present, unshaken — until you remember your own strength.

Lacewing Dragons don’t choose perfect people. They choose people who are trying. People who show up. People who create even when the world feels loud.

If one has perched in your space, it’s not a coincidence. It’s a nudge. A whisper. A tiny, magical reminder:

You’re doing more than you think. And the magic you’re making matters.

The Elemental Wisp Collection: Magic in Miniature

  Greetings All, Recently I have fallen in love with Bamboo Rayon yarn. I love the silky texture and amazing colors found in the brands I use. The yarn works up small, making creating minis a joy. I have used it before in my Roses ( see my Crochet Roses That Last a Lifetime post for more about those) and after my experience with the yarn there, I decided to continue with it for special collectibles.   Greetings once again friends.  Today I'd like to introduce you to one of my favorite types of creatures, Impkins. Little is known about Impkins as they are shy creatures. They love to travel here in this realm as well as others, collecting odds and ends, keeping your secrets and dreams safe.
