One of my absolute favorite designers, Megan Lapp, Crafty Intentions, is the designer behind this beautiful guy. She saw an AI version and knew it was "slop" and basically didn't want her fans and all others out there to have to struggle and fight with a pattern that was garbage. The attention to detail she puts into every one of her patterns is what made me fall in love with them. The realness of the owl is amazing.  Greetings again friends,  Today I come to you with more elemental tales, in dragon form. I stumbled upon the patterns for them shortly after I found the Wisps. Just like the Wisps, these dragons each show such personality and whimsy that I felt I NEEDED to create them too.  Here's each one's story..... Greetings!  Last week I shared something that was a goal of mine to accomplish. This week I am sharing a new to me project that I fell in love with. Over the winter I had made some snowman kits and had left over metal rings. Greeting again friends, Today I'd like to reach back in time a bit and talk about when I first started to learn to crochet. I knew I wanted to make amigurumi more than wearables and blankets. Those things just didn't speak to me. Anyway, as I was learning I was also searching out patterns for things that intrigued me; Dragons, Creepy Halloween Creatures, Mythical Beings... you get it. As I was searching I came across a designer, who has now become one of my absolute favorites, Crafty Intentions. I knew just by looking at the photos I wasn't ready for that caliber of crochet. I knew I had 2 choices: Stick to the beginner patterns or set a goal and push to learn intermediate and advanced techniques.  I purchased the pattern and set it aside until I felt I had learned enough.  I set a goal and dove into learning and perfecting my work.   Greetings All, Recently I have fallen in love with Bamboo Rayon yarn. I love the silky texture and amazing colors found in the brands I use. The yarn works up small, making creating minis a joy. I have used it before in my Roses ( see my Crochet Roses That Last a Lifetime post for more about those) and after my experience with the yarn there, I decided to continue with it for special collectibles.
